Midleton combines the heritage of the Old Midleton Distillery, established in 1825, with the modern New Midleton Distillery built beside it in 1975. The current complex is Irish Distillers' principal production hub for Jameson, Redbreast, Powers, the Spot whiskeys, Midleton Very Rare and other pot still and grain whiskeys.
