Dailuaine

달유인

Dailuaine is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery founded by William Mackenzie in 1851 at Carron, near the River Spey. Now owned by Diageo, it became one of the largest malt distilleries in Speyside during the late 19th century and was notable for the early adoption of a pagoda-style kiln roof. Dailuaine produces a rich, weighty and often meaty spirit through long fermentation, rapid distillation and reduced copper interaction during condensation. Most of its production is used in Diageo blends, including Johnnie Walker, while only a small proportion appears as official single malt bottlings. Its best-known expression is the 16 Year Old released as part of the Flora & Fauna range.
