Barton 1792 Distillery is a historic bourbon distillery established in 1879 in Bardstown, Kentucky, and is recognized as the oldest fully operating distillery in the city. Its 196-acre site includes numerous barrel-aging warehouses, an extensive still house and the historic Tom Moore Spring. The name “1792” honors the year Kentucky became the 15th state of the United States. Acquired by Sazerac Company in 2009, the distillery is best known as the home of 1792 Bourbon. The brand is distinguished by its signature high-rye bourbon recipe, which emphasizes bold spice balanced by caramel and vanilla notes. Its range includes Small Batch as well as expressions such as Single Barrel, Full Proof, Bottled in Bond and Aged Twelve Years.
